Corporate Quality Specialist I Job, Food Production, Full Time, Brecksville, OH

Agrana Fruit US, Inc., a global leader in the production of fruit preparations for the dairy industry, is seeking a Corporate Quality Specialist to focus on systematically integrating new ingredients and processes arising from product development efforts into the Quality Assurance systems.

Corporate Quality Specialist I Job Responsibilities:

• Manages the daily activities of Customer documentation and product certifications from a food safety / quality perspective.
• This includes but is not limited to:
• Review and approval of all paperwork (i.e. specifications, nutritional, SDS, allergen, GMO, formulations, certifications) to regulatory, statutory and customer requirements before submittal to the Customer for both experimental products and existing products.
• Complete specific Customer documents accurately and on time.

• Expected to manage the daily activities of reviewing and approving raw material documentation from a food safety / quality perspective which includes but is not limited to:
• Kosher Program documents, Organic Program documents, non-GMO Project Verification documents, NPD Commercialization documents and Ingredient Approval

• These job activities directly support the facilities as well as NPD.  Accordingly, involvement of the Corp. Quality Specialties requires coordinated interaction with the facilities, NPD Developers, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Ingredient Portfolio Management and Technical Services.

• Manages the quality metrics reporting of KPIs for the customer documentation, certification programs and raw material approval process and expected to identify and implement solutions to improve the processes.

• As a member of cross-functional internal teams, the Corporate Quality Specialist role is expected to provide input and perspective on AF Group procedures, current AFUS food safety & quality issues and initiatives to help accomplish organizational and team goals.

Corporate Quality Specialist I Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or comparable technical discipline
• Entry-level position (0 – 2 years)
• Experience in handling multiple tasks with ability to manage time and focus on priorities
• Detail oriented with the ability to complete high quality work with minimal errors
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Skills for cooperation/coordination
• Desire to learn and contribute to continuous improvement
• Strong Computer Skills.
• Project Management Experience
• Statistical background preferred
• SAP experience preferred
