Network Engineer

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Network Engineer for JBS that reports onsite to the corporate office in Greeley, Colorado.

 

Our network team is seeking a Network Engineer who can design, implement and manage standards-based data communication networks.  Our Field Network Engineering group is responsible for providing a robust and reliable data communications infrastructure between and within 100+ facilities in North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN) in both corporate and industrial environments
  • Work in conjunction with corporate engineers to provide low-voltage cabling scopes of work for expansion and greenfield projects to be carried out by low voltage contractors
  • Act as a resource to Network Administrators within various business units that are responsible for day-to-day network operations within their facilities
  • Monitor network performance and ensure maximum system availability and reliability
  • Configure various network devices and services
    • Cisco series routers and switches
    • Cisco series Wireless LAN controllers and wireless
    • Routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, mobile routing)
    • Cisco ISE
    • Cisco Unified Communications
    • HP SDWAN
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team to JBS standards
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
  • Communicate with all levels of end users with equal respect
  • Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience is required. Previous experience with JBS is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on network engineering experience and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit high flexibility.
  • Possess a "can do" attitude.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $90,000-$110,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
